KFX Technology are a Brooklyn, New York-based company that create world-class camera control solutions for film and TV production. Their target market are the very best directors of photography and camera operators in Hollywood and beyond, responsible for shooting the blockbuster films and TV series that are household names around the world.

THE STORY

We started working with KFX just as their Aurora remote head product was coming into a fully-fledged existence from a prototype being used by forward-thinking DOP’s.

We started by understanding their customer profile and addressable market, then formed a content hierarchy and plan. We then developed the branding and visual design alongside the website user experience to span both the highly creative and technically capable audience.

Part of the challenge was to also art-direct the product photography to ensure it was suitable for the website and other assets we were creating. The end result looked dramatic and was a perfect fit for the audience.

THE PROJECT + OUR WORK

We created a one-page micro site for the Aurora product to deliver a full product showcase. We’ve also delivered responsive email templates for proactive marketing to a database we’ve gathered from in-person events and inbound marketing.

KFX’s success has been astounding – with their products being used on shoots for the latest star wars films and Spectre – the latest James Bond outing. We continue to work with KFX as their portfolio grows with the addition of skater and slider products, collaborating with innovative engineers and filmmakers across the globe.

WHAT THE CLIENT THINKS

DEVELOPED KFX FROM AN IDEA INTO A MARKET-LEADING REALITY

Working with the team at Matter was a refreshing change. Not only did they understand the technology in all of its detail, but they could quickly and easily make this into brand, website, copy and visual reality. Far beyond just a digital marketing company – they’ve helped us create a strong international business for the future.
