Projectorpoint are the UK’s leading projector specialist. Since 2001, they’ve sold over 50,000 projectors for home cinema and business use.
As with many technology-based companies, Projectorpoint were early adopters of the digital marketplace and an ecommerce site.
As the company matured and grew, their systems and technology stack grew too – it was time for change.
It’s always risky to change legacy systems, but the current bespoke built CMS was starting to suffer from inability to scale and react. This made it difficult to be agile in today’s fast-paced tech market, with more expectant, non-loyal and mobile consumers.
THE PROJECT + OUR WORK
We helped manage Projectorpoint’s transition over to the Magento content management system, which is no mean feat given the thousands of products, diverse categorisation and specification attributes for each.
We strategized the categorisation based on deep SEO analysis, competitor analysis and our understanding of the market.
Next on the list was the site layout and design itself, focusing on conversion but making sure the content architecture supported some very different user journeys. Shopping for a home cinema and a meeting room space are totally different experiences!
